and fun, the Festival is a celebration of cinema for all. What will GFF 2007 show? Expect Gala screenings of some of 2007’’s most hotly anticipated films - from German award winning hit The Lives of Others to Hollywood films such as Robert de Niro’s The Good Shepherd. Sample some exciting home-grown talent, with a specially developed Great Scots! strand of great Scottish films, new and old. Pay homage to the Duke: watch the great John Wayne in 10 of his most celebrated films, in a series of screenings to mark the centenary of his birth. Scream along to Fright Fest (so good, it’s scary), the UK’s best horror and fantasy film festival – Scottish audiences’ only chance to participate in this exciting event. Travel the world through our European, World and Danish film strands, featuring films such as the Cannes hit 12.08 East of Bucharest, Zhang Yimou’s new martial arts spectacular The Curse of the Golden Flower, and the work of acclaimed filmmakers Anders Thomas Jensen and Suzanne Bier.
