SCHOOLS: WEALTH AND HEALTH INEQUALITIES IN GLASGOW - SOLD OUT AT PLATFORM, EXTRA SCREENING ANNOUNCED!
GYFF for Schools
In 1994, famous Panorama programme Dead Poor focused on the staggering health inequalities between two Glasgow communities; Bearsden and Drumchapel. The health gaps are undeniable, yet those who think everyone in Drumchapel is Dead Poor are mistaken. This new film offers a more complex contemporary narrative that challenges stereotypes around wealth and health, showcasing the outstanding young people and teachers in communities such as Drumchapel and the East End. A talk by writer and producer of Wealth and Health Inequalities in Glasgow, John McTaggart precedes the screening. There is also an opportunity for students to ask questions of Frank McAveety MSP, Glasgow Shettleston. Questions can be submitted in advance by contacting modernityscotland@btconnect.com

Please note there is an extra screening on Thursday February 26 at 10am.
