How to buy a Saver Pass?
You can buy your Saver Pass from the 1 December over the phone or in person from the Box Office - remember these are limited so get one now!

Terms and conditions:

  • Saver Pass applies to every film/event in the Festival except free events and screenings (these will be operated on a first come first served basis).
  • You must advance book all 10 tickets in one transaction before 13 February 08 either in person at GFF Box Office (GFT, 12 Rose Street, Glasgow, G3 6RB), by dedicated online form or by phone on +44 (0)141 332 6535.
  • GFF 08 programme is available from 23 January 08. Book tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. 
  • Share this card: Up to two tickets may be redeemed for any performance. 
  • Tickets are non-transferable once issued. Saver Passes and tickets are subject to availability.
  • Please note that tickets reserved by phone or online will not be posted out and need to be collected in person from GFT Box Office. When you collect your tickets you will be asked to provide photo ID.

How to buy and collect Tickets?

Tickets for the GFT

From the 23 January 2008 tickets for all events can be purchased ONLINE from www.glasgowfilmfestival.org.uk. You can also purchase tickets IN PERSON or OVER THE PHONE from the central GFF Box Office at the Glasgow Film Theatre during opening hours (see below for full Box Office details)

You can also purchase tickets for events outside of the Glasgow Film Theatre at the participating venues box office.

For example - you can purchase tickets for Cineworld events at the GFF and Cineworld box offices. However you can't purchase tickets for Glasgow Film Theatre events at Cineworld!

Up until the day of the performance advance tickets purchased ONLINE from www.glasgowfilmfestival.org.uk. and OVER THE PHONE can be collected from GFF Box Office at the GFT during opening hours (see below for full Box Office details) for all venues.

On the day of the event tickets can be collected and purchased no later than 20 minutes before the film is due to start from the venue in which the event is taking place.

GFF BOX OFFICE
Glasgow Film Theatre, 12 Rose Street, Glasgow, G3 6RB, 0141 332 6535 The box office is open: Monday to Friday from 12.00. Saturday and Sunday from half an hour before the first show. Box office closes 15 minutes after the start of the final film.

How to buy and collect for events out with the GFT

  • You can purchase tickets online from this website from the 23 January. Click on any of the "buy tickets" links throughout the site.
  • You can purchase tickets in person during box office hours (see below).
  • You can purchase tickets over the phone during box office hours by calling (0141) 332 6535.
  • Telephone and online purchases should be collected from the GFT box office up to one day before the event.  Alternatively no later than 20 minutes prior to the film start time at the appropriate event. The card used to purchase is required for proof of purchase
  • If you wish to buy tickets on the day of the event please contact the appropriate venue.
  • Tickets purchased in advance cannot be exchanged nor money refunded except in the event of cancellation.
  • Tickets for free events will be released on the day.

Tip: Buy your tickets in advance where possible, last year most screenings sold out!

Access in The GFT
  • GFT is located in Rose Street, on 2 separate levels. On the ground floor are the box office, Cafe Cosmo and cinema 2. Cinema 1 is situated on the first floor.

  • Please note: all cinemas have easy wheelchair access, and are wheelchair friendly. You can ring the box office to find which cinema each of our films is in for that day.

  • GFT aims to be fully accessible to disabled visitors and honours the CEA card (www.ceacard.co.uk). Guide dogs are welcome at GFT.

  • For more detailed information regarding disabled access within the GFT, contact the box office on 0141 332 6535.

  • Assistive Listening - Cinema 1 is fitted with the loop receiver device, which is suitable for people with hearing aids (with a T switch). Infra-red headsets are available in both cinemas which provide a choice of the original soundtrack or an audio described version (when available).

  • Captioned films - Where available we offer captioned films for the deaf and hard of hearing. These films have English subtitles. We also offer a huge range of European and World Cinema with English subtitles.

Festival Volunteers

Interested in progressing your career in the film and cinema industry?

The Glasgow Film Theatre and Glasgow Film Festival are now seeking applications for volunteers to assist during the festival 14 - 24th February.  Volunteers would be expected to work a minimum of 6 shifts over the ten days and will include evening and weekend work.  Roles will include Information and Events Assistants and Marketing and Evaluation Assistants.

These positions are an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in working within the film industry, marketing, in events and festivals or even in simply meeting new like-minded people.
