Glasgow Film Festival won 'Audience Pioneer of the Year' at the 2009 Glasgow Grows Audiences annual conference on Friday. The team at GFF were inspired to face the challenge of the credit crunch head on to ensure our audiences knew that the GFF remains great value and an unmissable event.
Why we won: Well... They gave us the award for 'getting up close and personal with our audiences, listening to what they had to say and playing to our strengths. We did this in four key ways: by focussing on quality and accessibility, our partnerships, our online activities and Glasgow as a Cinema City'. And, of course, for the fact that 28,000 of you came along to our screenings, events and club nights and had a great time...
Thank you!
