Our festival needs YOU, so why not use this section to get involved…
This will be the most interactive festival yet. Our social networking presence is expanding by the day, and we’re taking advantage of new technologies in image and video sharing to give you the best all-round 21st century festival experience!
On the right you’ll find links to our social networking pages and groups. In the coming weeks, we’ll be updating our new blog and bringing further info on the latest developments behind the scenes.
This year, we will also be using Twitter, which means that you can be kept up to speed on the festival from co-directors Allison and Allan and receive short updates about the Shorts Film Festival from The Magic Lantern.
We’ve already posted our first blog, but there are plenty more to come. In the run up to the festival expect sneak previews, interviews with the filmmakers of some of the submitted films as we accept them, articles and more. During the festival we’ll have a daily blog which will feature a guest filmmaker or writer giving their thoughts on the festival. There will also be room to reply. Click here to go to the blog.
We’re all about embracing the digital revolution, but let’s not forget the power of the printing press. GFF09 will be publishing a daily (and free) newspaper containing reviews, interviews, competitions and guest writers.
As before, we will be posting videos of our Q&A sessions, gala screenings, vox-pops and interviews. GFF09 will be welcoming guests from around the world and we aim to share as much of the festival with as many of you as possible.
This year we will also be welcoming your videos and photographs. Watch this space for more information.
As before, we will be recruiting volunteers to help us with all of this, click here for more information.
