Last year Glasgow Film Festival welcomed a host of star guests and filmmakers, from director John Sayles to The Cottage stars Andy Serkis and Reece Shearsmith.
This year will be just as fantastic. GFF09 is proud to announce a whole host of new guests attending the festival. Newly confirmed guests include the director of Anvil! The Story of Anvil Sacha Gervasi on 13 February. On 15 February John Crowley, director of Is Anybody There will also be attending. New Town Killers actor James Pearson will be present at the screening of his film on 16 February and finally the director of Last Chance Harvey Joel Hopkins will be present at our closing gala.

We are delighted to welcome director Sergey Dvortsevoy to Glasgow Film Festival. He will introduce his Cannes winning debut feature film Tulpan on Saturday 21 February (16.00) and answer questions after the screening.

Opening Gala - SOLD OUT
Fresh from its world premiere at Sundance in January, we are thrilled to open the 2009 Glasgow Film Festival with the UK premiere of In The Loop a combination of biting satire and acid wit so close to reality that you will laugh until you cry.
Glasgow Film Festival is pleased to welcome the Director Armando Iannucci and his cast and crew - including Peter Capaldi, Tom Hollander, Gina McKee and Chris Addison - to the screening.
The screening is followed by Glasgow's party of the year as Cinema 1 turns into a dancehall with live music and cocktail bars.
