Down Terrace
Imagine if Mike Leigh had made The Sopranos and shot it in eight days at his parents house with a cast that mixed cutting-edge comedy stars with members of his own family and you begin to have the measure of Down Terrace. Ben Wheatley’s award-winning debut feature focuses on a father and son who are both just out of prison and desperate to discover who sold them out. The paranoia grows and the body count rises in a darkly unsettling kitchen sink comedy laced with the blackest of humour. “It’s just a film about work really,” claims Wheatley, “work which happens to be criminal.”
We are delighted to welcome Robin Hill to the screening and who will also participate in a short Q&A session after the film.
