Directors Cut With Kevin McDonald
Great Scots

In conversation with BBC Movie Café Presenter Janice Forsyth and presented in partnership with The University of Aberdeen’s Director’s Cut series. Kevin Macdonald is a Scottish two-time BAFTA winning director, most famous for his films Touching the Void (2003), The Last King of Scotland (2006) and State of Play (2009). Glaswegian Macdonald is the grandson of the Hungarian-born filmmaker, Emeric Pressburger, and his brother is film producer Andrew Macdonald. The Director’s Cut is a series of discussions with well-known and innovative international filmmakers and broadcasters, staged by the University of Aberdeen (www.abdn.ac.uk/directorscut/).

We are delighted to welcome Kevin and the University of Aberdeen to Glasgow for this special event to explore his career and current projects, including The Eagle of the Ninth (2010), starring Jamie Bell and Donald Sutherland, filmed on locations across Scotland.
