Giles Borg’s impressive debut feature casts a wry eye over thedramas and disappointments of anyone who has ever dreamed of forming their own band. Wannabe musician Stevie works in a call centre with his drummer pal Neil. Guitarist Billy and bass player Emily are the eager recruits they attract to their latest venture. We follow the band’s progress in segments bearing the name of a track title (‘Track Two. Anyone Can Play Guitar’ etc). The result is a slight but endearing British charmer with sharply observed performances from a fine young cast, a sprinkling of easygoing humour and a light touch.
We are delighted to welcome special guests actors Kieron Bew and Ian Bonar who will be answering questions after the screening.
