Scottish Production Archive: Peter Mullan
Great Scots

Scotland has produced outstanding directors, writers and actors in recent times but only one person has truly mastered all of these functions while maintaining an unparalleled and intense clarity of artistic vision. Peter Mullan’s performances have illuminated celebrated films like Trainspotting, My Name is Joe and Young Adam and as a writer/director he has excelled with Orphans and The Magdalene Sisters. Now in post-production on Neds, Peter is the very first subject of a new initiative of the University of the West of Scotland. The UWS SPA is designed to capture and collate accounts of the recent history of film and TV in Scotland, and will also establish a research and information database to complement and support Scotland’s production activity.

We are delighted to announce that Peter Mullan will be attending the Glasgow Film Festival.

Presented in partnership with University of the West of Scotland Scottish Production Archive (UWS SPA)
