Savage
Drawing comparisons to Shane Meadows’ masterful Dead Man’s Shoes, this is a classic revenge thriller, set in Dublin. Healy plays photographer Paul Graynor, the victim of a horrific assault that he struggles to overcome, until choosing a path of vengeance. Most of the film is shot at night, a dark but intriguing portrayal of a European city asleep but in a nightmare for the troubled lead. Savage is a very apt title for a very uncomfortable and chilling conclusion.
