L'Affaire Farewell
Joyeux Noel director Christian Carion makes a confident move into the world of John Le Carre with this atmospheric Cold War thriller. Set in the Moscow of 1981 it deftly captures the human toll on those at the front line of the spying game. Guillaume (Tell No One) Canet stars as a French engineer recruited as a middle man between French intelligence and KGB spy Emir Kusturica who has decided to leak explosive documents that could trigger the fall of the Soviet Union. A tense, brooding tale of cat and mouse intrigue with a powerful international cast that also includes Fred Ward as President Ronald Reagan.
