In Conversation With James Earl Jones
James Earl Jones is one of the legendary names from the American arts with a career in film, theatre and television that spans more than four decades. He is currently playing Big Daddy in the acclaimed London production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof but has kindly agreed to come to the Glasgow Film Festival to discuss a film career that began with Stanley Kubrick’s classic Dr Strangelove (1964). He received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for The Great White Hope (1970) and his many career highlights include Claudine (1974), Matewan (1987), Coming To America (1988), Field Of Dreams (1989), Cry The Beloved Country (1995) and, of course, the Star Wars series in which he provides the unforgettable voice of Darth Vader.
We are delighted to welcome the legendary James Earl Jones who will discuss his career in an illustrated interview with GFF Co-Director Allan Hunter.
